In 1979, Venerable Ajahn Panekhao went to England to meet Mahasi Sayadaw, the great vipassana meditation teacher from Myanmar, who named him his representative and spiritual head in Europe. Vipasana Meditation has gained popularity and has transformed many lives around the world. The 10 Day Vipasana Meditation retreat as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin is a non-sectarian technique aims for the total eradication of mental impurities and the resultant highest happiness of full liberation. Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation.
We plan to host 10-day Vipassana retreats at the Center.
Registration is mandatory. We highly recommend that you arrive at the temple Friday evening so you can be ready to start the retreat early Saturday morning.
Do Not Bring: 1) Electronics items (tablet, computer, cell phone) 2) tabacco of any form, non prescribed drugs, perfumes 3) personal food items 4) jewelry or other unnecessary valuables 5) religious or spiritual objects, reading books or diaries, writing materials for journal. *If you arrive with any of these items you will be asked to leave them with the management until the end of the course.

In accordance with the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are free. However, Sacred Falls Meditation Center is a community-based non-profit organization supported by generous monetary donations. All financial contributions are welcome and will contribute to the development of the Center and to make these teachings available to all.
